If the non-brand name works just as well, why pay more? This is my first ever water flosser. There was a bit of a learning curve when I turned it on because I had to figure out how to angle it properly so as not to spray water everywhere. I was surprised to notice a significant difference in the feeling of improved cleanliness with my teeth and mouth after using it for a few weeks now. I prefer the soft mode because my gums are sensitive, but I can change to the stronger normal mode without too much discomfort when I want more thorough cleaning. It's easy to fill and refill with water, and it feels durable and comfortable holding in the hand. The only minor problem I've had was that it can be slippery to pull out and change the tip when it's wet. For the inexpensive price, I'll be satisfied enough if it can last me at least a year.
