Well I haven't seen a review of black stones yet so here is one. I washed them about 6 times when they arrived they have a lot of dust on them. where there are no problems. I have a 40 gallon tank and it took me 7 bags to make the bottom the way I made it. Nice stones are cool there, but they definitely don't shine like the photos in the description. All in all, all cool rocks, just not as shiny as I was hoping, and 7 bags gives you a thin coat in a 40-gallon tank. I have dirt underneath, not all stone but in 1 pack you get enough to almost fill 1 cup, like a solo cup one of the red plastic cups 👍hope the pics help
