Comparison to DeLonghi La Specialista Maestro

I prepared (what I thought) an 11 minute video showing this machine in operation and making a few drinks. Unfortunately, my dictation machine somehow switched itself off after only 4 minutes. I apologize for the shortened video. Switched to this machine from a semi-automatic DeLonghi La Specialista Maestro. DeLonghi's car would win outright if I judged the car on aesthetics; However, with its combination of performance and ease of use, Miele is the clear winner. Both machines are capable of brewing most types of coffee beverages and both do it exceptionally well. Both machines are fully customizable (degree of grind, number of grinds, water temperature, drink size, etc.). Both machines allow the user to program their preferred settings. I don't find the coffee quality better on any of the coffee machines. The reason I decided to replace my DeLonghi with a Miele is EASY TO USE. Miele works flawlessly with just a few button presses. Once the machine is on and warm, I can literally make a cappuccino or latte macchiato at the touch of a button. I don't have to manually depress the grind setting or move the portafilter from the grind position to the brew position. I don't have to empty the crumble into the box after each use. I don't have to fill a separate container with milk every time I want to drink something - I just plug the tube directly into the milk container. Call me lazy, but I love the simplicity of pressing a button or two and everything is done for me. Yes, and Miele is quieter than De'Longhi! Now let's talk about aesthetics. DeLonghi is a showstopper. This is a beautiful work of art. Miele is simple and unattractive. In the case of the red model, she is actually TERRIBLE. I plan on removing the two red sections and painting them black to match the rest of my decor. Let's face it. Performance is more important than aesthetics, so I will be sticking with this machine for the foreseeable future. !
