Review on 🔌 M-D Building Products 4325 M-D 6-Foot Pipe Heating Cable by Jeffrey Kue

The Revain photo for this product shows the cable wrapped around a pipe. The product description advertises "simple all-in-one installation". The description also says that the product has a light that shows if the thermostat is working. To make sure the product can be twisted or at least mounted on a tube with a bend, I set up a chat session with the seller. She contacted the other party and informed me that the product could indeed be coiled and/or placed on a 90 degree bend in the pipe as long as the cable did not cross itself. NONE of these matched the instructions in the product supplied. The instructions specifically state that spiraling the product poses a fire hazard. There is no indicator to show if the thermostat is working. Instead, there are instructions to put an ice pack on the thermostat, plug in the cord, and see if the cord gets hot. The plug has a built in power indicator that shows nothing when the thermostat itself is working, and is redundant to my power cord, indicating a properly grounded power supply is delivering power. Do not buy this product. It cannot be used as advertised
