Wow that's all I can say. There was an old cable/voice modem 8x4 which is much faster. While it works great. Activation. key moment. Wait while it syncs. (10 minutes or so) I WAS A BREEZE. Once it synced, it went straight to the activation code. I just had to make sure it was me (make sure you have a good cellular connection if using this route) and then flew like a bat out of hell. The only thing you need to be aware of is that xfinity will force you to change your ssid. So unless you want to change everything else, use your old ssid and password. The only bug I had was with Alexa. Had to reconfigure but once that was done because I kept the same 2.4 SSID everything else worked. NO MORE THAN $13 PER MONTH IN RENTAL CHARGES (I will offset the annual cost of my first year of ownership.
