Review on Chemical Guys BUF_Screw_Drill Adapter Backing by Chuck Chen

I can confirm that as of 11/05/15 you will not get what is pictured. You actually get the threaded one, I knew that from those reviews when I ordered and it really didn't bother me. Even threaded it still works great in a drill chuck. I use this with a Chemical Guys BUFLC300 TORQ R5 rotating base plate and attach sandpaper to it. Since I use it for woodworking, I mount it in my drill press or hand drill and use it for a variety of sanding tasks. The thread does not have a negative effect on the performance of the sanding pad at all and I do not see the thread as a disadvantage at all. I'm taking off a star just because they have to fit the image to the subject, but as far as usefulness goes I get an A in my book.
