So far so good. This is not an obsolete item to be passed on but excellent quality for the price and the very low price to insure it for a further four years. We grind chicken for a raw dog diet. -------- Update - I received my first replacement device in January 2018. I usually go through 10 pounds of meat once a week. This time I had stuffed vegetables. Cleaned up, removed. And never turned on again. I then used the shaft until April 2018 when it started squeaking and rattling very loudly. No engine should sound like that. I contacted the seller and they refunded my money as the restorer replacement doesn't guarantee I'll like the sound a new one makes (really?). I also quit 4 years. Extended service plan for money back. So we opened it up to see if it could be oiled or something. Hey, here's the white plastic gear that's also shown in the photos in the description. how did i miss it Oh yes, the description says metal gears. I trusted!
