I cut children with this machine, the knife is good, it will not cut thin skin and will not scratch it. clean hair removal right below zero, without "stumps". but does not take coarse hair well, misses pieces if the beard is cut. not for serious work. in the hand comfortable, maneuverable. dissipates quickly. in general, to call the machine productive for its intended purpose, no! quicker decorative, for small works.
