My Maltese (toy breed) is allergic and reacted badly to a flea treatment called Activyl and we have tried our best to treat it. He'd lost the hair on his legs during an allergic reaction a few months ago, but his skin was still itchy and his hair still hadn't grown back. We went to the vet and tried many expensive shampoos but none worked until we tried this product. First we used it 3 times a day as per the instructions and now we use it 1 time a day. My dog's skin is now a normal light pink color and no longer red or irritated. And his skin is soft again and no longer rough. At one time his skin seemed terrible and alligator. But now his hair is finally starting to grow back. We have been using this product for about a month and we use it together with Naturvet's Septiderm shampoo which we bathe him with once a week. This lotion is a thin liquid that I apply to the palm of my hand. my hand in small amounts before applying it to different parts of my dog's body. And my dog loves it when I put this product on him, probably because it gives him a lot of relief. I bought this size bottle because the Naturvet website says the 8 ounce bottle is a spray and my dog and I hate sprays.
