This lotion is not suitable for dry skin - has a strong chemical odor and seems to work better for pimples and other skin problems unrelated to dry skin to have.

This product is NOT a lotion, it smells like Pine-Sol lemon flavor. I didn't even want to try this on my dog as the area that needs itch relief is the inside of his back legs. The product description was very misleading.

For those purchasing this please note this is not the usual lotion consistency. Because of this, it is thin and somewhat difficult to apply. I'm also not sure if it really worked well or if the redness has healed over time. No big changes.

My poor dog has food and environmental allergies. I've been looking for something that might help her and this is the first product that has really helped her. She didn't have to use her allergy medication as she was shampooed and treated with it. I don't like the smell but it only smells when bathing.

This is great for keeping my dog from itching. He also had an allergic rash and it got better immediately. It smells like herbs, but my friend says it smells like detergent. I don't think it smells like a cleaner - to me it smells more natural. The smell doesn't bother me because it helps my dog in so many things and it's worth it.

I am struggling with my dachshund's skin problems and this product has really helped dry out the lesions. My dog loves to lay there and let me apply it to his skin so I know it doesn't sting him at all and seems to soothe his skin. Despite being labeled as a lotion, this product has a liquid consistency. So be prepared for this when you start pouring as you may be surprised to expect a thicker lotion.

I keep this lotion in my stable for all the cuts and scrapes my horses get. It has good emollient properties and is fairly easy to apply with a smaller sprayer. (It's easy to bring indoors when the dogs get angry.) The smell is a little off-putting, more antiseptic, but that's to be expected from the name, so I don't find that a problem. This is one of the few things that has stopped my dog's paws from licking/itching. Not the whole day. I still have to apply it 2-3 times a day but it does the job.
