6/1319: The reason for purchasing this item was to stop the fan after the engine was switched off and thus avoid deep discharge of the battery. The resistance worked until it got hot here in Las Vegas. As mentioned, I had to pull the fuse to turn off the fan so I could start the car in the morning. It may reset in cooler morning temperatures - otherwise I'll claim the warranty I've purchased and I'll stop buying a refurbished item!; 06/14/19: I put a fuse in this morning and the AC is not working at all! Very disappointing and I suspect the same issue as the replacement unit - not enough heatsinks. I intend to make a claim under the purchased warranty.
