Pros: Keeps the coffee hot enough for hours. Cons: The lid/open-close mechanism is expensive and sophisticated. The person presses the button with their thumb, which I think will be a bit difficult for people with arthritis. The shutter, which toggles between "open" (allowing coffee to spill and allow air to escape) and "closed" (closing the thermos), is opened by a ridiculously complex mechanism that depends on several factors, including (a) the accuracy of closing of the cap by screwing it down to the end of the threads, and (b) a plunger inserted into a small hole in the cap which presses on the latch. If either of these fail, the mechanism fails and the seal can remain open. If you unscrew the cap while the shutter is set to "open", you will break the mechanism and have to reset it manually. That's ridiculous. It's far less satisfying than my Zojirushi Air Pot, which is foolproof and keeps coffee hotter for longer.
