Zojirushi Premium Thermos

Not as heavy as the previous model, but I'm very happy to have a BPA-free coffee thermograph. I understand that none of these decanters last forever and with a glass insert this one can't even be hit let alone dropped. However, this design was the best I've tried so far, and when I emailed the company to inquire about BPA, they responded immediately. I returned my stainless steel thermos which did NOT hold heat as well as this one did on day one (today).

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Beware! Don't buy this!

After a few months, the carafe started leaking from below. The manufacturer asked me to check the glass liner and gasket to make sure they weren't causing the leak. After checking, the seal was fine. But I found a defect on the glass of the liner. Although I've attached a photo of the defect, the manufacturer doesn't see this as a defect, so I don't see a replacement. In her email to me, she attached an email from another customer who also had the same issue. I don't want anyone else to deal…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Update available

If you're looking for a carafe that actually holds 12 cups of coffee and keeps it hot, look no further! It does all of that, and it even rotates. Must admit; However, when it's full (like every morning in our lives), it's quite heavy. We also have a smaller version that only holds about 8 cups and is just as good! We've tried a few other brands and mostly relegated them to the summer months (when liquids should be cold) or threw them in the bin because they couldn't keep liquids hot or cold…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No paint required

Hold Temp too high

Beautiful carafe, but it doesn't matter if the coffee gets cold. The Zojirushi website linked from the Revain product page says "168*F after 12 hours and 123*F after 24 hours". I checked the temperature twice and preheated the carafe with hot water; 12 Hour Results: Average 151*F. Results in 24 hours: Average 106*F. It's barely warm for my taste. My 20 year old COSCO (discontinued) with a cracked seal works better. In a few days he will return to Revane. Life is too short to spend money or…

Big disappointment after only 6 months

I really liked this carafe and found it to be just what I needed for exactly 5 months. Then the spring in the cover that controls the opening / closing of the valve broke. I was able to use it a little longer by breaking up a small piece of aluminum foil and sticking it down the spout to keep the coffee warm, then removing it when I needed to pour. Today I forgot it was there and the coffee spilled all over the counter when I poured it. My fault, but a $32 decanter shouldn't need any minor…

Doesn't match the quality of the thermos

Let me first say that I'm a big fan of the Zojirushi thermos. I already have 5 of these and will buy more if needed. I brag about it to everyone and convinced a few friends to buy it too. You love her too. So decanter. Doesn't keep the coffee as hot as my thermos. The lid leaks water even though it has been washed for more than a week. I just dry with a towel. Metal cladding is also water permeable. I give it a quick rinse after use and pour hot water down the sink to try to keep the coffee as…

Should have returned it.

I couldn't buy my old decanter that worked so well as it's no longer made because the game is now constantly changing models. The price was good for the price but I had to send it back immediately. It has everything that is not suitable for a decanter, such as a sealed, unclean lid that collects dirt over time. Push to open, push to close, spring return is not possible, better remember to lock it after pouring, otherwise the coffee will cool quickly. This carafe is as bulky as it is large, but…

mixed value. best in kitchen and dining room

Pros: Keeps the coffee hot enough for hours. Cons: The lid/open-close mechanism is expensive and sophisticated. The person presses the button with their thumb, which I think will be a bit difficult for people with arthritis. The shutter, which toggles between "open" (allowing coffee to spill and allow air to escape) and "closed" (closing the thermos), is opened by a ridiculously complex mechanism that depends on several factors, including (a) the accuracy of closing of the cap by screwing it…

love hate relationship

like; It seriously kept my coffee hot for hours. It also has a glass container inside which can be good or bad if it breaks. However, the insulation is good and holds 34 oz. Liquid. The button you press will click slightly and it will tell you if it is open or closed at the top. I do not like it; It's just too big on the outside. I should have measured but it's about 11 inches tall and wide and looks like it should hold more than 50-60 ounces. The mouth opening is small and since it is made of…

DO NOT BUY THIS CARAFE

Advantages: ● Glass liner does not alter the taste of the contents ● Glass-coated vacuum insulator is very effective; keeps warm for several hours. Cons: ● Zojirushi America is a company that doesn't say goodbye to its flawed product. ● The lid cannot be washed and cleaned properly. ● A design flaw in the lid means that it no longer works (stays open) after several months of regular use ● The pouring stream is uneven; sprays the other way you pour ● Impossible to pour out the rest of the…

  • Good product for the price
