I drive a 2009 GoldWing. I just used this device to lock my helmet and bags on a motorcycle trip from San Diego, California to Durango, Colorado and another trip to Northern California. I only use it when I leave my stuff unattended at the store, gas station or toilet. I don't expect this to stop anyone with bolt cutters or wire cutters, but someone could theoretically lift my entire bike and bring it home in their truck. It's not meant for that. This definitely prevents passers-by who want to grab your helmet, jacket or bags. It comes with a storage bag and easily fits in your jacket pocket or anywhere on the bike. The cable extends far enough to get just about anything you'll ever need to secure. I'm very satisfied with this product. I trust it for my own use and I think it makes a great gift for anyone you know who drives. I've already bought a second one as a gift and am going through my Christmas list for other people.
