Everyone with airbags should have a pair

Just gotta say you should buy airbags if you have them. When you leave the pavement it gives you back your articulation and makes your ride that much more enjoyable. Even if you don't go off the road—potholes, railroad tracks, anything that causes the rear suspension to drop, it helps. I have a 2008 Silverado 1500 4X4 with a 6" lift. Every time I drove around town I was afraid something would happen to one of the airbag components, causing the rear suspension to fall off. At the Silverado 1500 Firestone airbags just had cheap little J-bolts that held the strut end-to-end Guess what happened when one side of the suspension tried to move down Those cheap little J-bolts gave out and fell out huh? resulted in the airbag, spacer and brace catching on the side between the axle and the top bracket the J-bolts were almost straight out I bought Daystar struts so I don't have to fit airbags any more too the bottom brackets and they could allow the suspension to drop all the way down and when the suspension is raised again the cradle will center the airbags giving them room to land without si e slip out at the end. As for the J-bolts. My solution to this was to throw them, cut off the bottom bracket parts they were bolted to, and weld the brackets themselves to the shocks. I now have an airbag system that works and works well without worrying about tearing the airbags or stretching cheap little J-bolts causing the secondary airbag to fail catastrophically. :)
