The black tool "Gold" actually has a plastic tip. However, it works quite well. As I was expecting it to be some kind of metal this was a little disappointing. Also, the red shovel tip tool is something you have to be VERY careful with. One side of the tip cleans large areas very well while the other side is SHARP! It's so sharp it scratched the black and colored parts of the piece I tested it on. I'd recommend testing the red tool on crop or something you don't really care about before using it on something you really like. The brush in this set is very useful. It helps brush off all those black crumbs without scratching the drawing. I didn't use a wooden stick or correction fluid, so I can't comment on that. Overall, this set is much better than just a wooden stick and comes with most of the drawing paper.
