First find out which fan you need, ie hole diameter and round or D. Look at the fan and determine the required flow direction. Carefully remove the fan. Apply some grease to the shaft and into the fan's "hole". Gently push the fan blade. That's all. They are not expensive. Fan blades become brittle after years of exposure to UV rays. Now I have a few extras in my squad. I suspect they will last for years, but it's always good to have a spare, whether for yourself or a pal in need. Again, they are made of inexpensive plastic. But they work. The packaging was very good. In no case will they break or should they break during transport. I didn't have the problems described by others. The hole size was accurate. But I also knew what I needed when I calibrated my fan motor shaft and it was 0.094 plus or minus 0.001.
