Review on Crucial MX300 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD - CT1050MX300SSD1: Affordable High Capacity Solid State Drive for Enhanced Storage Performance by Jared Stauder

I am working on a large project to restore my old film and print images. I ordered this CD hoping it would speed up the project. While this drive is slightly faster than my old hard drive, it's not fast enough to justify the cost of the drive. Its main benefit seems to be that I can use a larger drive in my laptop without additional heat from the drive. It comes with a spacer to place under the drive as it is a little thinner than a regular hard drive. Also, migrating from my old hard drive with the included software was much faster than other migration software I've used in the past. I gave 4 stars because I love this CD. But would I buy it again? When I looked at the old hard drive, I found that the old hard drive was a hybrid hard drive that I had installed at some point in the past. Hybrid hard drives are almost as fast as solid state drives. I forgot I have a hybrid hard drive in this computer. At some point in the past I upgraded the memory and hard drive and forgot how I upgraded them. So the main benefit I get from a new SSD is less heat leaking out of the new drive. Since heat and power are the main limiting factors in a laptop, you can increase the storage capacity of your laptop. The 2TB SSD is twice the size of my old 1TB hybrid drive.
