I was pleasantly surprised by the heating function. I assumed this would just keep the water from cooling too quickly. But the water is actually getting hotter. I have to turn it off after a while otherwise the bath gets too hot. When the heater is turned off, the bubbles cool the water. So I turn the heating back on when it gets too cold. The spa will collapse if you apply force to the top edges, but it will not accidentally collapse after ten foot soaks, each lasting 30-60 minutes. It doesn't have a drop-proof lock, but the sides are pretty solid. I really like the carry handle, it's pretty solid. This makes it easier to transport the foot bath filled with water. It folds up nicely to form a fender on the front. It might be tempting to put your foot on it, but doing so can cause it to collapse too much. My only real complaint is that the power cord is quite short and it says you can't use extension cords. Sitting as close as possible to the counter in the bathroom, the cord didn't reach the outlet above the counter. I have a six foot short heavy duty extension that I bought for power tools. Works great and doesn't get hot. However, it would be nice if the cable were a few feet longer.
