I bought this with two lenses. First, an improvement in video quality over my 2013 iMac's built-in FaceTime camera. In that sense, this is the clear winner. Second, use light as needed to balance the background light from the window. That didn't impress me. Even on the highest setting, it just doesn't throw enough light to make a real difference. Also, I have to turn off and restart the camera every time I start Zoom or FaceTime. He will not stay connected all the time. It seems to go into an unknown state every time the computer sleeps.
