I have a 72 Datsun 510 with KA24 replacement. I had trouble starting the car. The headlights came on, the fan came on, but the car wouldn't start. Determined it wasn't the ignition by (dangerously) connecting the battery cable to the starter and turning it on. This part is easy to replace. No special tools are required for installation. This doesn't cover the ignition part of the key, so you don't have to worry about replacing the part your key fits in - it goes in the back of your key.
