I have purchased a certified refurbished Audio-Technical AT2020USB+. Nothing has been renovated, it looks like new. I plugged it into my iMac's USB port, went into preferences, selected it as my input device, and immediately started using it for the score in Final Cut Pro X. It works great! I tried the included table stand, the mic is heavy so you definitely want to have a foot forward or the mic will tip over. I didn't try to record with a mic stand as I also bought a mic arm and pop filter which I highly recommend to bring the mic closer to you. My studio has a lot of ambient noise with air conditioning and an air filter, but my voice output is clear with no background noise. I am very happy with this mic and would recommend it to anyone who needs a good voiceover mic. I don't sing or play an instrument, so I don't know how well this works for that purpose, but it's great for voice acting.
