Review on 🚲 Allen Sports Black Wall Mounted Bike Storage Rack, Model 201B by Jeffrey Sanders

Revainrating 5 out of 5

AVAILABLE, FAST SHIPPING, WORKS AND LOOKS GREAT!

Works great! Single screw for attachment. Bought two mounts. Note: The included screw broke in half when I tried to tighten it with a drill and bit. I had to buy another screw from Ace's Store for 25 cents. Not a big deal, but the screw that came with it must have been cheap quality. When tightening the bracket, be careful not to over tighten the screw like I did. Release the trigger and slowly screw the mount in until you are near the last turn of the screw! 2. Note: Two bikes will fit, but note that the triangle (body) on your bikes is large enough to fit through the mounting bars. I have four bikes but was only able to clean my mountain bike with my son's 20" BMX bike and my son's older black 20" BMX. The third BMX bike was bought cheaply from Walmart and had a bizarre design where the top bar was unusually thick, causing the triangle clearance to be unusually narrow. Needless to say, it doesn't detach from the mounting bars. I'm not attributing this to the mount but solely to the cheap/fancy design (aesthetic design) characteristics of the BMX. If you're stowing two bikes on a rack, you'll find that the front wheels can or will rotate slightly to make room for the second bike (with two bikes, the handlebars will eventually touch the wall, so tilting the front wheel helps). Look for the image posted on the Allen Wall Mount 201B website. I gave this review 5 stars because the bikes on my garage wall end up looking terribly sick! I have mounts and on the other side of the wall is a skateboard rack! Works great and has already received many compliments! I bought this product because I was impressed with Allen's 2 bike trailer/hitch mount which I bought for my 4Runner. It was also priced competitively with other big brands like Hollywood, Thule, Yamiko etc without breaking the bank. Still a big fan of Thule and Yamiko! Just had a dime with a hitch! By the way, I hated Bell mounts. I'm just saying.
