Review on 💡 Furman Sound 8 Outlet Surge Protector by Ricky Mayo

Before Furman Sound 8, I used a sine wave UPS that was designed and manufactured overseas. I thought it would be a cheap solution to improve the sound of my surround sound receiver. But the cheap UPS batteries caught fire. I needed something new and something better. I called Furman and asked a few questions about one of their replacement products. A helpful technician explained to me that a UPS can never provide the on-demand power needed for good sound. So I bought a Furman Sound 8. Of course the hum and sparks from my surround receiver were restored! I should have remembered that class. Amplifiers D have no headroom. The UPS "solution" limits and prevents the instantaneous current that a class D amplifier requires. BTW, whether you like it or not, most modern amps are Class D. My wife and I now watch sports and movies at higher volumes because the sound gets louder, which is nice. Furman Sound 8 is a good investment. Now I'm wondering what Furman's higher quality conditioner can do for my music and movies ;-)
