I bought a couple of these mainly because got a new car. That's the problem for most people. One of them holds the phone at arm's length, no magnet just sticks to the dashboard - it's too heavy. Mine only lasted a few weeks. peeled off. Too pushy and clumsy. Never buy them. Magnetic mounts are difficult. Here's the trick - don't take it with a giant magnet. I did exactly that and it was a daily struggle to get it off the mount and indeed the mount gradually came loose. Well, this little gem is perfect - modest in size, unobtrusive, and magnetic enough to hold tightly, but not so much that it can't come off without a fight. And in turn does not detach from the dashboard.
