I deliberately chose this item as I wanted a foldable model that could be easily stored away. I've used other non-foldable products and they're admittedly a little sturdier, but if you want something that folds you have to accept the flaws that people complain about. When reversing, you need to put one foot on the feet, otherwise it will slip on the slippery floor. This is because there is a spring and hinge that allows it to fold. And yes, if you fold your legs in, they are not wide enough to be stable. Again, that's because it's a foldable model, which is something you should expect before you buy it. Just check your feet after you park your bike and you should be fine. Overall I think this is a great product. I took off one star because one of the plastic cones ripped during shipping and was slightly damaged. However, this does not affect the functionality.
