My favorite animal is the manatee. When I found out there was a "small" teapot, I had to buy one. I drink a lot of tea and haven't had any luck with kettle brewers, whether metal or silicone. I mostly buy empty unbleached tea bags for loose tea (I drink mostly loose tea) and chunks always slip through. Most of my teas are blends containing little pieces of herbs or whatever, and this manatea teapot lets nothing escape! It hangs so cute on the rim of the mug and I can still put the silicone lid on the mug to keep the heat and steam inside. is on display, so maybe if his head were a bit longer he would hang lower in the cup. I usually add sugar, honey and sometimes milk if it's tea and I need some extra space at the top to keep it a bit open at the top. Also, you usually need to leave enough room at the top when using an insulated mug with a lid. Anyway, this little guy brightens my days and works well. I usually rinse it off with warm water and rub a little with soap; especially black teas and Earl Gray as they leave stains and a lingering tea smell.
