Poor quality, not even the same brand.

I ordered this product because I expected it to be Fred & Friends. The picture provided by the seller even says "Always look for the official Fred logo" on the tail. The item I received was unpackaged, had no Fred logo and was of poor quality. When I tried to return it as I hadn't received the item I ordered I was told it was non-refundable. I am very disappointed that I wasted money on a product that is not the brand I expected and does not brew tea very effectively.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made

Nice design, great idea!

Hello, I really liked my teapot in the shape of a manatee! I love the size (not too big and not too small) and I think it does the job! However, I had to let it float in my cup because if I let it hang on its own the cup should be almost full. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it has a strong smell. I have washed it many times but like many silicone products it has its own smell. I had already had this new tea I bought and when I tried it with Fred I found that it smelled…

Funny gift, use with herbal teas

I bought this as a gift for someone who likes tea. She thought it was very cute and uses it often. It is easy to wash by hand, but also easily several times in the dishwasher. Due to the size of the holes, I recommend using it for herbal teas. Other types of tea fall directly into the water through the holes in large quantities. If you don't mind the presence of grains at the bottom of the cup, it's not a problem. Because it's on the side of the mug, you can leave it on while sipping tea and it

A fun 5 star gift for yourself!

My hubs tell me that in time our house will be like the Pee Wee Theater where all 'things' here will be other 'things'! I saw Tea-tanic and realized it would be a good addition to my "stuff" collection. I half expected it to open when I put it in the water. But it stayed together. A few leaves came out, but no more than what my traditional tea diffuser does. The material is very flexible and flexible. This would not be a good item for those with fine motor or dexterity issues including…

manatees and tea; Combination of two things I love!

My favorite animal is the manatee. When I found out there was a "small" teapot, I had to buy one. I drink a lot of tea and haven't had any luck with kettle brewers, whether metal or silicone. I mostly buy empty unbleached tea bags for loose tea (I drink mostly loose tea) and chunks always slip through. Most of my teas are blends containing little pieces of herbs or whatever, and this manatea teapot lets nothing escape! It hangs so cute on the rim of the mug and I can still put the silicone lid…

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
