Review on Melitta 628354 Disc Coffeemaker Filters: Superior Quality for Perfect Brewing by Shannon Cool

I ordered these for my 12 cup coffee maker as I thought they were made for that. I used regular ribbed paper filters designed for drip coffee makers. I figured these little round filters would work better since they already had a center hole punched through them. However, after using both, I decided to stick with what I was using (grooved drip coffee maker filters) because they seem to do the job better and are cheaper. Yes I need to put a filter on the mid pipe but it doesn't matter. I find it much easier to empty the basket when using regular drip filters. The round ones stick to the sides of the basket and I have to scrape them off with the back of my finger before washing the basket. With the grooved drip filter, I just empty the entire trash can into a compost bin and the trash can is ready for washing with no prep and no mess on my hands.
