My Service Dog was hit by a truck, but thankfully his life was spared and suffered (only) a dislocated hip along with many lacerations. For a few weeks we will be assisting him out to potty and doing all we can to ensure his hip stays in place. This sling is doing a great job assisting us with his stability. The fake sheepskin is soft enough so that it does not irritate his wounds but sturdy enough that we are totally confident it will support him should he begin to fall over. I have actually purchased a second one so that we have one at the ready while washing the other. They wash up very well and remain soft enough. I would have given this a 5 star rating had it been actual sheepskin.
