Much better than the TomTom EasyPort mount

I have a TomTom Start and have not liked the EasyPort mount since I got it. I've been telling my wife for months that I would get the 'right' mount for my TomTom and finally the day came that I accidentally broke the EasyPort mount. After a little research I decided on this mount and I am very happy with it so far. I wanted a more "normal" windshield mount - a suction cup with a lever instead of a swivel ring, and that led me to this particular mount. The design is simple: press the suction cup against the windshield and turn the lever so that the suction cup sticks to the windshield. In operation, it's an easy-to-use mount and seems to hold the navigator in place without too much trouble. As expected, it doesn't hold up well when the windshield is cold, which is a problem with all suction cup mounts I've used, including the EasyPort. The ring that attaches the TomTom to the mount does a pretty good job of holding the TomTom in place. but i noticed that he is not holding the navigator. That said, TomTom tends to spin a little in the ring. So far this hasn't been a problem and the TomTom hasn't fallen out of the ring so it doesn't really bother me. The mount is adjustable and has a few spots where you can adjust the position for maximum visibility. It shouldn't be a problem getting the GPS position visible, but not in the way. So far I'm happy with this mount and would happily recommend it. It's a lot easier to use than the EasyPort mount that comes with the TomTom, and it's adjustable so you can still have vision problems when you're on the move. If you have a TomTom and don't like the EasyPort mount, this mount system is a big improvement.
