Review on πŸŽ™οΈ Fostex USA High-Quality XLR Cable for Stage or Studio (AMS-ET-RPXLR) by Bianca Campbell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great sound, replaced ear pads, used EQ software to add bass.

I use these headphones with a computer and Sound Blaster G6 USB DAC/Amp. These headphones bring so much clarity to music it's insane. I've struggled to find higher bitrate audio and it really gives you great sound, clarity, responsiveness and position, they're extremely comfortable. With a flat EQ, these headphones have a choppy mid-to-high sound, but the bottom end is light, even with the ear cushions they give you, which adds to that semi-closed environment. I would recommend replacing them with some brainwaves due to the lack of comfort in the ear cup and taking your time putting them on as they require processing to fit the ear cup. I wear a 7 3/8 fitted hat so I have a bigger head. I've used the equalizer controls on my sound card to boost the low frequencies and flatten the rest and you're treated to one of the best sound effects for music. My wife is very sensitive to pitch and noise and uses a regular gaming headset (Arctis 5) and she got me playing Thunder with Imagine Dragons and she loved it. She said great now I can't enjoy music in other headphones because I tried these and now I hear how bad all the others sound. The texture of the wood is pleasant to the touch, and the included black case is great for keeping it on your desk and wanting to protect it from dust and dirt. The supplied headphone cable is ok, I would ask them to offer it in two lengths for the same price (299) as the supplied one is too long and I could use a shorter one. If you are looking for a planar magnet that encloses everything, then this is what you need. If you want them louder make sure you use the EQ software to give you the bass boost you need and you'll really like it.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok
