As per the reviews, I went one size up. I chose a medium size because I usually wear small pants and they fit perfectly. They are so comfortable and perfect for class, errands or just hanging out. Lots of other reviews have also said they find the belt too thick but I don't, if that's a problem you can always fold it in half or tuck it into a shirt and hide it. I definitely recommend these shorts. Also, the pockets are as big and not as small as most women's pants. They're almost $11.50 each, so that's a real bargain too!
