This gadget works well when you just need to hang a small picture. If you're going to hang a large picture, you need someone to help you remove the picture from the gadget before you punch a hole in the wall. The second caveat is that the instructions clearly state that there is an error of a few millimeters. Because where your photo actually lands depends on the type of hook you use. The gadget doesn't take that into account, so you either have to adjust or live with an image that's a few millimeters from where you intended to hang it. Because of this, it's not really useful if you're hanging a series of pictures where you want everything to line up in a straight line. If there is an error in millimeters, your images will not be aligned. Again, this is something you can brace yourself for when aligning things and making holes. However, this means that the gadget is not as easy to use as advertised.
