For decorative purposes only. and not even very good at it

I rate this purchase as terrible, almost non-functional and not very nice to look at. First the looks. It's meant to look vintage but the finishes are inconsistent/cheap and the parts were already scratched and ruined. Don't let that fool you, like many other 'Made by Amish' kits you see for sale here at Revain, this one is 'Made in China' and clearly marked as such. For functionality, the wheels are too small to roll well and the shim mounted on the axles is inadequate. As the set rolls, even on smooth/short carpet, the small wheel diameter causes the set to wobble, vibrate and vibrate where bullets and even hammers fall out. If you actually try to roll it on the lawn, you know that where croquet is normally played, the caddy can fall and balls and clubs are everywhere. Progress is stopped every 1.50m as everything has to be collected back onto the carts. And after a while, due to the poor design of the axle, the wheel will overtighten and seize on one side. I solved most of the problems by going to the hardware store, buying two large rubber wheels and axle parts, and replacing everything myself. .Another assembly tip: When assembling the ball retainers, use a few drops of Elmers or epoxy to secure them, although the instructions don't say so as they will pop out when rolling. The hammered brass/metal hardware for mounting the handle to the head is aesthetically pleasing but terribly functional. First, the set screw was not flush on the grip hardware and would not allow the grip to even screw into the head socket until I put it down. Once the brass adze on the handle could be screwed into the slot on the hammer head, even when fully screwed in, it was still loose and trembling, causing the hammer to vibrate horribly and even spin when it hit the ball. .It's not fun to play with them at all. The only positive is that the gates are very strong, well made of thick metal with a good finish. Even after all my efforts to improve/correct the set I'm returning it for a refund as I don't feel like continuing trying to fix hammer issues.
