The design of this croquet set is excellent. Unfortunately, the processing leaves a lot to be desired. This is NOT a real tree. This is composite wood, which is immediately recognizable by the label on the handle. Composite wood is sawdust etc mixed with recycled plastic bags and heated to form a fairly durable product that mimics wood. However, you must have the correct screws to attach the brass fittings. I rate this purchase as terrible, almost non-functional and not very nice to look at. First the looks. It's meant to look vintage but the finishes are inconsistent/cheap and the parts were already scratched and ruined.
