Bought to replace the one I wore 7 years ago when I moved to a climate with 4 true seasons (and lots of snow). They are marketed as increasing airflow, well I've never noticed anything other than a placebo effect on airflow, let's face it most jeeps don't move fast enough to benefit from the "ramming effect". What they do, and do well, is prevent snow from getting into the air intake and freezing there, meaning your defroster is working 100% once the engine warms up. The first stayed for 7 years through hot summers and winters when the snow was so deep I had to use a broom to push it off the jeep. The key to their adhesion is surface preparation. I use acetone to clean the hood before attaching the shovel.
