I wanted to keep the low profile scanner installed. They are built very cheaply and have intermittent connections inside. Stopped working after a few minutes and turned on alerts on every system in the car when I touched it to make sure it was securely plugged in. I immediately turned off and uninstalled the scanner, but when I restarted the computer, all the warnings were still there. I was about to call the dealer about a tow truck but after an overnight downtime the warning lights and messages disappeared. Hopefully no permanent damage! I think I'll stick with my 10 year old bulky but well built scanner!
