I had to give Pirate Patch a semi-decent rating because it's so easy to use and produces an authentic knockdown texture when used correctly. Now for my biggest issue with the product (and why I'm returning it) 1. It's a smaller square - about 4" x 4" or so and I had an area where one person ruined my drywall and was fixing it but the texture wasn't up to the norm so I used this 4 times in the area next to it (2 top, 2 bottom) to match my texture to the rest of the wall - when it was done. No matter how good I was. Following the directions, I looked like I had "square boxes with texture" hanging on my wall - "okay," I thought. I'll wait for it to dry then fix any chips or dents, sand and then paint HAHAHAHA! I did exactly these steps and could even tell that it would look like this after painting 🤬 but I still painted a small area, since I painted the whole bathroom a different color I wanted to test the color anyway. Well NOW the "boxes" were unmistakable and this morning I already started sanding down all the paint (that I tested on it) and texture and rented a spray gun and air compressor from Home Depot, the rent got me Cost $40. .but FYI the aerosol can is rubbish and shouldn't be advertised as something that can be used for anything more than its small size (idk that's the true size)
