When the IR port on my standard remote failed, I was unable to access the smart features of my Sony Bravia TV. I found a working app in the Apple Store, but the ad was inserted about every three clicks. Ads removal costs $6.99. I wasn't keen on using my phone as a TV remote, so I turned to Revane to show me other options. I found this one for less than $7. The buttons are arranged EXACTLY as on the standard remote control. As some other reviewers have noted, this remote is lightweight and feels "cheap", especially when compared to the OEM version. However, I was able to purchase seven of these at the OEM replacement price... As soon as I put some new batteries in this remote, it worked great! I can control my TV without my phone and without annoying ads. Hallelujah! I haven't had this remote long enough to comment on its durability. Only time will tell if this was a good long term investment.
