Nice thick metal but without the male threaded nipple that is permanently connected or bolted to the stem. Anything that was just glued and failed completely gets screwed into this nipple! The nipple must be welded in the lower leg. By the time it's finished, it will eventually let everyone down. The nipple inserted into the last lower leg is held there only by a kind of adhesive material. The only way to solve this problem is to glue them together. For this reason I can only recommend the purchase of this monopod because of the lower legs that can be used as a table tripod. And if you can attach your own retractable monopod to a threaded nipple that fits into the legs, then you're in.
