This is a good size. A loaf seems the right size for bread and the like. The rest stays fresh as I don't cut them. Others are sized for easy packaging and storage/freezing. I put them straight on the oven rack with no drip tray underneath and it worked out just fine. Everything turned out to be very simple. One point I made, I didn't even oil/spray them, just poured the batter in and it still came out fine. I put them in the dishwasher on dry settings and they came out clean but not dry. I once made a very thick, heavy dough and when I put it in, the weight of the dough "bent out" the long sides since they are flexible (instead of keeping them straight/strong). I tried to photograph it but didn't see until it was too late that it looked like the bread had gone over the edge. Yes, but before that it was oval. I didn't really care that this bread was kind of oval, but I made a note of it in case that's a problem for you.
