Update February 2, 2019 The company tried very hard to fix all the problems I had. Overall very happy with the device, I only use my phone for navigation. Next time I will still buy a device with more than 1 GB RAM. I've found that with only 1GB of RAM, it's difficult to run two apps at the same time. This means if you want to use IHeartRadio or pandora while driving, your navigation running in the background will often quit. Makes the navigation useless because you never know if it works or not, you can't rely on it. And if it closes, you'll have to restart the app and start over. I contacted the company, they said the engineers said it could happen with 1GB RAM. Their solution was to use another navigation app that uses less RAM. I tried several, still had the same problems. You basically have to decide between music or navigation. Don't even think about using a third app haha. Pros: Support was responsive. You checked the questions for me. But apparently there is no way to upgrade ram. I wish I knew the 1GB limits before I buy it. The DVD player works well, I've watched about 20 DVDs, all played well, even slightly scratched ones. Many DVDs don't allow you to access the menu, so this is a minor inconvenience, but not a major one. The stereo sounds great, much better than the old JVC it replaced. In general, I like the unit very much. The lack of RAM is kind of a deal breaker, if this device had 2GB of RAM that would be all I wanted. Unfortunately I may have to return it because of this. Save yourself the hassle and buy one with at least 2GB of RAM. ********** I've had it for a couple of weeks now, this is my first main Android device. As long as I like it! Everything works as it should, there are nuances here and there, but overall a great experience! Does MUCH more than the Brand Block name I recently installed on my son's truck for about the same price. As long as this unit continues to work as well as it did before I will be purchasing 2 more for my other vehicles. I will try to update in a few months. The only thing I really miss about this device compared to others is the volume controls. The buttons work well, the grip is better. Also, I submitted a question through a form on their website that never arrived. But then I emailed them directly and they responded immediately with a solution to my problem. Overall great device and customer service so far
