This is a great item for repairing many throttle, cruise control and kickdown wiring on various Ford and GM vehicles. As a mechanic, I've replaced a lot of cables because that plastic clip broke (usually with cruise control cables). This solves the problem with minimal cost and effort! I've been using it for over 6 months with no problems. Installation is pretty easy, you just need to cut off the rest of the old clip, be careful not to cut/pinch the cable. It takes some effort to get the new cable all the way into this part. When fully installed, the clamp should slide freely over the cable.
