I bought this for Milo (the cat) for Christmas as he wasn't a big fan of the carpeted cat tree in my office - he preferred my keyboard/laptop. Hoping that would keep him off my desk during meetings, I spent some money and bought him a tree big enough for him to look out the window but small enough to fit in a fairly small one room to fit. When the box arrived, Milo somehow knew it was for him. He refused to get down from the box and then, when he was done, from the tree. I had to carry the tree upstairs to my office while he slept elsewhere as he just wouldn't leave him alone. He's not a catnip lover so what they're hanging on that tree is clearly an amazing sucker because he actually left my keyboard/laptop alone to look out the window everyday and at the top level of the tree to take a nap! a little wobbly, but Milo weighs about 10 pounds and fits perfectly in a basket. It's pretty easy to put together, but I had to rebuild it because I made some stupid mistakes. Also, the fabric for both the basket and the lower house is not very soft, so I bought a baby blanket and Milo snuggled on it very happily. Overall definitely a great purchase and I will definitely be buying again!
