First time I used the crossbars with kayaks after having them installed on my vehicle for a month or so. While I was transporting my kayaks (total weight 106 lbs between the two kayaks), one of the crossbars brackets that hooks on to the rail snapped going about 35 mph. The entire crossbar, j-hooks, and kayaks went flying off the vehicle into the road. The cross bars and j-hooks were installed properly per the instructions and the kayaks were securely fastened. This was not the experience I was expecting to have based on the reviews.I contacted the MotorFanClub regarding the defective product and received a brief response email requesting my invoice. I quickly responded back and have yet to receive an acknowledgement of that email after following up. Very disappointing!
