I used to use small telescopic metal back scrapers. However, my main complaint with them was that the head turned very easily, so you often just rubbed your back with the smooth side instead of scratching. Also, they tended to break over time. This back scraper has none of those problems. It is very durable and the head does not turn, so it can be tucked under the shirt at the back. I bought three of these - one is right here by my computer, one is where I watch TV and one is in my bedroom. It's better than jumping up and scratching your back on the edge of the door!
