Review on πŸ”ͺ Makita JN1601 Amp Gauge Nibbler: Precision Metal Cutting Made Easy by Michael Glassburn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mandatory (((dot)))

Holy cow. I slapped my forehead. Years ago I built two steel buildings, one of which is mine (2000 SF), and then helped a friend build it (3500 SF). For these two buildings we fought with the scissors, bled and cursed quite a lot - there were blisters, torn edges. many "close enough" abbreviations. This summer another friend of mine also decided to build a shop and I can't say no to a good project. BUT despite the ups and downs of the economy, I was wealthy enough to buy one for this project. Cuts like crazy, is easy to control, makes beautiful curves, punches through ribbed buildplate and makes you look like a pro while doing it. . This is the required equipment. If I knew how good this tool is, I'd go to any lengths to have one for the first two buildings. Then the roof magnet quickly picked them up.

Pros
  • Built-in thickness gauge for convenience
Cons
  • Not sure
