I bought a cheap Davola DVR as a first try to have one of these and although the cable that came with it would have worked fine with a low mount in position I wanted to place the camera in the top left corner of the windshield instead. This cable was just long enough for me to hide in the rack's panel, so the only visible part was a few inches from the bracket. Because there is a 90 degree plug at the end of the device, it is important to pay attention to the position and orientation of the plug that requires power. Mine was set up with the cord facing away from the mount, which was perfect.
