Review on Jlink Gaming Monitor 2560X1440 | Adjustable Anti-Glare 165Hz | VESA Mountable | Low Blue Light | Tilt Swivel Height Pivot by Arthur Jenkins

That works great. Not perfect, but phenomenal for the price

It was interesting to see feedback on its brightness and clarity. I have a 2017 ASUS PB277Q and compared them side by side - the ASUS is much brighter and sharper. This is by age; not just a technologically older product, but in daily use ever since. Don't get me wrong, Jlink is absolutely fantastic for my gaming and programming; It's just not as good as I expected based on the reviews. The big advantage here is the resolution and refresh rate. Another problem I had was getting it to work natively. As if the monitor needed some "persuasion". I've tried different USB hubs, direct HDMI and DP connections, etc. I couldn't get a picture for a good 30 minutes - the monitor kept saying "no signal". In the end I thought I got the wedding and was ready to return it when voila - the picture came. After that, all previous attempts worked fine (all USB hubs, all ports). Then the options / settings changed (when flipping the power button in the direction). It's almost as if (and I'm talking my butt here) a laptop updated the monitor's firmware, after which we ran smoothly. In any case, the bottom line is that the monitor is not perfect. By price? Its worth it. Comparable alternatives are significantly more expensive. I'm only ringing a star because of the "quirks". I kept the original ASUS and gave Jlink to a partner (who rarely uses their desktop). She commented on issues and regularly let me troubleshoot the monitor so I'm saving 1 star as it wasn't a one off issue. It's worth noting that we both use a Macbook Pro as our daily drives and the monitor isn't sold that way. However, in my defense, I tried my Windows computer in the initial troubleshooting steps.
